When 18 years of age, he was employed by John Bissell to attend the Conn. Ri8ver Ferry. In February 1674, his father gave he and his brother John lands on the eastern side of the Conn. River. He and his wife were members of the East Windsor Church in 1700.
He was one of the petitioners on 5/13/1680 for a separate township organization that they might have religious services of their own east of the "great river".
