In the 1880 Census, he was farming with his father in Bullock Creek.
Married Mary Elizabeth Whiteside on 4 May 1886 in Hickory Grove.
Became Ruling Elder at Bullock Creek Presbyterian.
They moved to Rock Hill about 1916, where they joined First Presbyterian.
He suffered an attack during Wednesday evening services and was taken to his son Robert Faye's home, where he died.
From Rock Hill Herald obituary: "He was a man of not many words, but was a cheerful companion, and when with him, one never failed to sense his genuine worth and nobility of character."

From Rock Hill Herald obituary notice: "Mrs. Good was an energetic, enthusiastic, and efficient church worker, noted for her many deeds of charity . . . She was a devoted wife and helpmeet, a tender and loving mother, more than ordinarily zealous in regard to the mental and religious training of her children, who revered her precepts to an unusual degree."
