Thaddeus "T" Martin Thomas Jr. 75, passed away May 28, 2013, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.
He was born March 24, 1938, in Gaston County, son of the late Thaddeus Martin Thomas Sr. and Elizabeth Fewell Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was a member of Clover Presbyterian Church. He was a Mason and Shriner and was also the owner of Flying T Game Bird Farm. Thaddeus was a US Air Force veteran, having served as an armament crew member for the TM-61C Matador, surface to surface missile, that was deployed in West Germany. He was assigned to the 71st Tactical Missle Squadron, Flight A, located at Steinborn, Germany.
A memorial service was held 3 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. George McGill, Jr.
The family received friends at the home following the service.
Interment is private.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 42 years, Gail Hamilton Thomas; sons and daughters in-law, Marty and Michelle Thomas, Nathan H. Gardner, Michael and Amy Thomas; brothers, Stephen E. Thomas, Joseph A. Thomas, George G. Thomas; sister, Betsy T. Johnson; grandchildren, Nathan Gardner Jr. Kristen Thomas, Dylan Thomas, Tasha Belcher, Caleb Thomas, Channing Thomas.
