Samuel Walker Samuel Walker , geboren te Ierland [Ierland] op 7 september 1750, Brief Life History, His will lists Lyn as executor, 3 youngest daughters Polly Watson, Amelia Hudson and Rebecca Hudson, 7 children total. He was most definitely from Ireland. His arrival, shown following, at age 12 in 1765 would make his birth year 1753. His gravestone says 1750, but birth dates were often off by a few years on old cenuses. Just bacause there was a Samual Walker in Rhode Island does not mean it's the correct person. A Compilation of the Original Lists of Protestant Immigrants to South Carolina, 1763-1773 Petitions for Land, 1763-1773 pages 46-48 List of Walker's from Ireland: Council Journal 32, Meeting December 4, 1765 The following petitions of some poor protestants lately arrived in this Province from Great Britian and Belfast in Ireland praying for Warrants of Surveys for lands & the Bounty given by the Act of the General Assembly passed the 25th day of July 1761 were presented and read- John Walker age 44 Agnes Walker age 18 Martha Walker age 15 Thomas Walker age 7 John Walker age 14 Samuel Walker age 12 Possibly Newry, County Down. According to "A Compilation of the Original Lists of Protestant Immigrants to South Carolina, 1763-1773", he was a protestant immigrant only 12 years of age, his brother John was 14. Page 46 of the same book reads, "Council Journal 32, pages 668*671 Meeting December 4, 1765 The following petitions of some poor protestants lately arrived in this Province from Great Britian and Belfast in Ireland praying for Warrants of Surveys for lands & the Bounty given by the Act of the General Assembly passed the 25th day of July 1761 were presented and read-" Overleden (76 jaar oud) te Greenville [South Carolina, Verenigde Staten] op 19 september 1826. trouwt (resp. ongeveer 21 en ongeveer 22 jaar oud) te Abbeville [South Carolina, Verenigde Staten] circa 1772 met Phebe , geboren te Verenigde Staten [Verenigde Staten] circa 1750, Brief Life History, There is no valid proof that her last name was Green. The Revolutionary War Gravestone was not applied for until 1942 and does NOT list wife's name. There were probably hundreds of women named Phebe Green and even more Samuel Walkers. The only real sources that can be used are the gravestone and Samuel's will. Overleden (Ongeveer 78 jaar oud) te Greenville [South Carolina, Verenigde Staten] op 18 juni 1829. Uit dit huwelijk een dochter:
